21 Set Viroplant citizen science experiment presented at the European Researchers’ Night in Torino
Can different disciplines work together? Can schools and research, teachers and students work together on a scientific project? The answer is “yes”!
In the frame of the European Researchers’ Night pre-events, the event “Sociology, biotechnology and citizenry: first steps towards a transdisciplinary research” was presented to high school students studying human sciences on September 20th.
Italian researchers showed that citizen science experiences with high school students need structured actions and dedicated energy and time, on one hand, but, on the other, produce fruitful results and are beneficial to all the actors involved.
This experience was part of a Viroplant joint experiment between the “Social acceptance of virus-based natural products” workpackage and the “Communication and dissemination” workpackage.
